We get plenty of people asking us "Why another bike shop?" It's a good question, and one that merits a measured answer. It can be explained in many ways, just by knowing a little about what motivates each of us.

On a superficial level, we'd be lying if we said that working with trick stuff, getting cheap parts and having access to sneak previews and product launches wasn't a draw-card. Some people say that there's never anything new or exciting and that it's all been done before - and there's a lot of bored old shop-owners as proof of this. We see things differently. To us, innovators and original thinkers are the people who should be recognized and supported and are the ones we choose to align ourselves with.

On a personable level, we get to surround ourselves with like-minded people who get a buzz from the same things we do. Some of these people are, of course, our own staff and some are riders whom we've known for years. However, the bulk of these people are those we believe are looking for a bicycle shop that's a little different in it's approach to retailing.

The team at Spoke(n), although comparatively young, have nearly 20 years experience in the industry. Combined with nearly 40 years cycling experience, keen ambition and a commitment to customer service, we hope that every visitor to our store will experience a bike shop that's able to combine both business and pleasure.
